Introduction

SAP Fiori Apps is a a group of accumulated cards of Apps, which represents the new user experience that assures that emploeeys and managers have consistent, coherent, simple and intuitive user experience.

The SAP Fiori Library is constantly expanding for both SAP S/4HANA on-premise and SAP S/4HANA cloud. The apps run on browser and work seamlessly on smart phone, tablet and desktop.

As a business process owner is requested to permanently improve the user experience. SAP S/4 Projects will use SAP Fiori and it is so different from the SAP ECC. a list with the must have reports/analysis with their functionalities it is a good help.

Objectives

  • Gain an overview of SAP Reporting/Analytics Apps for Inventory Management
  • Explaining and presenting the basics of the must important SAP Reporting/Analytics Apps for Inventory Management
  • Make you familiar with the must important Apps that will help you to complete the business processes

Main Part

I will bring to light the most important SAP Flowers Apps that can be used for Analysis / Reports in the area of Inventory Management, I will explain in detail about their uses and scope.

So, I recommend:

The first app mentioned in this list is Goods Movement Analysis. This app has a complex interpretation of the movements of goods within a company, in addition to the filters that can be applied to generate a report according to the needs of the organization, this app provides an analysis to interpret the data in the form of a chart.

  1. Goods Movement Analysis
Application TypeAnalytical, BW Query used (SAP Fiori: Design Studio)
Form Factor
Desktop,

With this app you can analyze the goods movements in your company.

You can define default filters for the following fields: Plant, Material, Material Group, Material Type.

In addition, the app supports the following technical features and options:

  • Sort
  • Totals and subtotals
  • Export to Excel

The second app that I will mention in this list is Inventory Turnover Analysis, as inventory turnover typically reflects the overall efficiency of the supply chain. Low inventory turnover reflects excess inventory or an overstock situation, in comparison, high inventory turnover is usually seen as a positive sign, since this number indicates the company is rapidly consuming or selling goods.

2. Inventory Turnover Analysis

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori (SAPUI5))
Form FactorDesktop, Tablet

With this app, you can analyze the turnover of materials in a selected plant for which you are responsible. The app provides you with detailed information about materials that could have turnover problems according to your turnover definition, depending on the time period you select. Identify materials for a detailed turnover analysis using different representation forms, for example, scatter or bubble charts. You can define default filters for the following fields: Plant, Material, Material Group, Material Type.

The next Fiori App I will talk about is Dead Stock Analysis. If you want to find out more about the stock that hasn’t been consumed during a given time period, this app will help you to build an analysis to determine what constitututes or defines dead stock of materials.

3. Dead Stock Analysis

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori elements)
Form FactorDesktop, Tablet

With this app, you can monitor and make time-dependent investigations of your dead stock. The analysis of the dead stock identifies materials that could potentially have a negative impact on the company’s cash flow and profitability. Based on these results, you can react immediately with follow-on activities and decide whether a material should, for example, be discontinued, discounted, or transferred to a different location.

The Dead Stock Analysis app supports you in your daily work, for example, as an inventory manager, to achieve maximum inventory accuracy and subsequently to optimize the inventory situation in your stock.

  • Monitor the dead stock with a focus on, for example, plants for which you are responsible.
  • Select a display currency and track dead stock for several plants in different countries.
  • Monitor how much capital is tied up by dead stock.
  • Monitor important key performance indicators (KPIs) and key figures, such as the number of occurrences of dead stock (displayed as a value).
  • Define follow-up actions such as scrapping or stock transfers, or inform colleagues about the stock situation.
  • Save variants of the app with regard to the dead stock for which you are responsible.

The next two apps that I am going to talk about are Stock – Single Material and Stock – Multiple Material, these Fiori apps will help you to analize the stock within the company by getting an overview of the cmpany material stock.

4. Stock – Single Material

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori (SAPUI5))
Form Factor
Desktop, Phone, Tablet

You can review your stock by the plants and storage locations for which you are responsible. The app can display the stock information as a table or a diagram.

  • Display a stock overview of a single material.
  • Compare the stock information with the safety stock and minimum safety stock values defined for the material.
  • Display the stock history for each plant or storage location for the last 11 calendar months.
  • Presentation of a first-level drill down to stock history (day-end closing) as a time series.
  • Presentation of a second-level drill down to material document item postings for each day showing the key figures of each posting.
  • Personalization of stock types and display of the safety stock.

5. Stock – Multiple Materials

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori elements)
Form FactorDesktop, Phone, Tablet

You can review your stock by the plants and storage locations for which you are responsible. This app supports you, for example, as an inventory manager in your daily work. The app can display the stock information as a table.

  • Display a stock overview of one or multiple materials.
  • Display the value of your stock.
  • Display additional storage location information, for example, storage bin.

The app calculates the stock values based on the stock quantity of the selected reporting date multiplied by the current material price. This means that the app always calculates using the current material price, irrespective of the reporting date you have selected. This calculation method for the stock value is common to all Fiori apps in Inventory Management.

The app Slow or Non-Moving Materials offers the possibility to have an overview of all those materials that has moved very liitle during a time period.

6. Slow or Non-Moving Materials

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori elements)
Form FactorDesktop, Tablet

With this app, you can monitor and make time-dependent investigations of the slow or non-moving materials in your stock. Based on these results you can react immediately with follow-on activities such as scrapping or stock transfers. Non-moving materials represent a combination of locations and materials where the stock level is not zero and no consumption postings were posted for a defined period of time. It is also possible to track slow-moving materials.

Further, the app that I am going to talk about is Material Documents Overview, which has a similar look and feel of SAP GUI Transaction MB51.

7. Material Documents Overview

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori elements)
Form FactorDesktop, Phone, Tablet

With this app you can display a list of material document items and display the material document details of a selected material document item. In addition, you can reverse a material document. Get an overview of material documents such as goods issue, goods receipt, and material movements with the following information, for example: Document date, Movement type, for example, goods issue for delivery, Document items.

Display a list of material document items. You can search for accounting information (G/L account or cost center) in material documents with multiple account assignments of the valuated goods receipt.

For non-valuated goods receipts the account assignment is not stored on material document item level. Therefore, neither the material document nor the material documents overview displays the account assignments for non-valuated postings.

Display the process flow for a material document with the relevant preceding document and follow-on document.

Add attachments to the material document.

Determine forms of output for a material document, such as print output or electronic data interchange (EDI).

The last two apps that are mentioned in this blog post are Overdue Materials – Goods Receipt Blocked Stock and Overdue Materials – Stock in Transit. These Fiori apps are very important if you want to have a control over the two types of stock, blocked stock and stock in transit, in case your organization is dealing with them.

Let’s see below more details:

8. Overdue Materials – Goods Receipt Blocked Stock

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori elements)
Form FactorDesktop, Phone, Tablet

With this app you can get an overview of the overdue materials for which a goods receipt (GR) was posted into the non-valuated GR blocked stock. You can search for existing overdue materials, and sort and filter them according to their Days since Posting Date (GR) status, for example. Depending on your filter criteria, the app displays a list of purchase orders for which stock is available in the non-valuated GR blocked stock.

For each purchase order or material from the results list you can immediately perform further tasks with linked apps, for example:

  • Post Goods Receipt for Purchase Order
  • Stock – Multiple Materials
  • Stock – Single Material

9. Overdue Materials – Stock in Transit

Application TypeAnalytical (SAP Fiori elements)
Form FactorDesktop, Phone, Tablet

With this app, you can get an overview of the overdue materials for which a stock transport order has been created. You can identify these materials to complete the stock transfer process or investigate potential problems. This app supports you for example, as a warehouse clerk in your daily work, to identify these materials to complete the stock transfer process or investigate potential problems.
